Midland County
County History and Geography
At the southern end
of the High Plains Region in west Texas, Midland
County was formed in 1885 from Tom
Green County. Its county seat,
Midland,
is on I-20, midway between Forth Worth and El Paso, and about 300 miles from
each. Midland County is bordered by
the counties of Martin, Glascock, Upton and Ector.
