|Birth*||say 1641||Robert was born say 1641.|
|Biography*||Robert Culpepper came to Virginia in August 1664, or sometime prior. Robert must have sold his headright, as on 24 August 1664, Mr. Richard Webley, [Captain] Robert Davis, and Thomas Freshwater, claimed Robert's headright of 50 acres (along with144 other headrights) and were granted land in Rappahannock and Northumberland Counties. 1|
This writer feels that this was probably a son of John Culpeper, born 1606, son of John Culpeper and Ursula Woodcock. And that he was the uncle of the Robert Culpepper who left a will in Norfolk County, VA, in 1743. This latter Robert was probably born in Virginia, and it seems unlikely that he would have been traveling from abroad as a small infant.
As with his probable brothers, Dennis, and James, no further record has been found of this Robert. He may have died young, or may have returned to England, or to Barbados.
