Death*1673 He died at Lower Norfolk Co., Virginia, in 1673.
Probate*15 Feb 1674 Probate action was taken on William's estate on 15 Feb 1674 at Lower Norfolk Co., Virginia
Biography* The Greene pedigree is under research and construction, and should be considered highly speculative at this point.

There is reason to believe that William Greene might have been the nephew, rather than the son, of Thomas Greene. He is listed here as a son for reference only. See the will of John Greene, proved 1674, Norfolk County, VA, in which he mentions William as his cousin, not his brother. (Norfolk Deed Book E, page 166, will of John Greene) If William was the son of Thomas, then John was not. And if John was the son of Thomas, then William was not.
The presence of this extended Greene family in early Lower Norfolk, all with connections to the Culpepper family, suggests an earlier relationship between the Green and Culpepper families, perhaps in England.
