Mrs. Florence D. Culpepper Buried Here Tuesday
     Mrs. Florence Dunn Culpepper, 85, a member of one of the early prominent Winn Parish families, died in a Beaumont, Texas hospital Monday after a lengthy illness. She had been making her home in Beaumont with one of her sons.
     Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Jerusalem Baptist Church near Winnfield with the pastor, Rev. J. D. Thompson officiating. He was assisted by C. W. Jones and the South Winnfield Baptist Church Choir. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
     Survivors are two sons, Joseph Culpepper of Beaumont and Charles Culpepper of New Orleans; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Henrietta Levan of Shreveport.

Officiating will be Rev. Stephanie Kidd. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery, Ringgold, LA. Visitation will be Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 P. M. at Rockett Funeral Home, Ringgold, LA. Barry was born February 25, 1941 in Shreveport, LA and passed away January 30, 2018 in Bossier City, LA. After graduation from Ringgold High School, Barry attended LA Tech then went to mortuary school. He worked for Conger Funeral Home and Rockett Funeral Home before going to work at Bank of Ringgold. He owned and operated Western Auto Store in Ringgold, LA at one time. He was a maintenance supervisor for Y-Line at Morton Thiokol, worked at Walmart in Minden, LA and his last job was working at Tipton’s Service Center in Ringgold, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, W. J. and Vadna Burkett Culpepper; and his brother, Walter Culpepper. Left to cherish his memory include his wife, Janice Culpepper of Ringgold, LA; children, Michele Gresham and husband, Carl Ed of Ringgold, LA, Barry Burkett Culpepper, Jr and wife, Wendy of Ringgold, LA, Robert Cross and wife, Miranda of Minden, LA and Angela Jones and husband, Chris of Magnolia, AR; 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Justin Culpepper, Trace Culpepper, Garrett Gresham, Chris Weaver, Robert Cross and Hayden Garrett.
