     Dear brother-in-law of Audrey Culpeper and of Bertie MacCrimmon, Marjorie Kelly, Bud MacKinnon and Mae Shepherd. Will be missed by loving nephews of the Culpeper family (Roy and Paul); nieces by marriage Cathy Culpeper and Marcia Valiante; and nieces and nephews of the MacKinnon families.
     Les was born in Karachi and moved to Canada in 1953, and to Deep River, Ontario in 1963 where he worked at Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. until his retirement in 1984. There he met Betty and together they built their dream home on the shores of the Ottawa river and generously welcomed many friends and family members over the years. Les loved the outdoor life in Deep River and embraced every type of outdoor activity - tennis, fishing, hunting, boating, cross country skiing, jogging and above all golf. His attachment to the Deep River Golf Club was a passionate part of his life after retirement. Les and his many golfing friends participated in numerous tournaments and trips all over Ontario and North America.
     Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd. (north of Lawrence Ave. W.), Weston on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Ward Chapel on Monday at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Sanctuary Park Cemetery A Book of Memories may be signed at www.wardfuneralhome.com.3
