She enjoyed a successful career at Chapman Drug Service for more than 15 years and retired as Office Manager from Manufactured Housing Institute of SC in 1998. She spent her retirement years as an avid reader with her favorite authors being Eugenia Price, Phillipa Gregory, Pat Conroy, and Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Many of her Saturday’s were spent with her sister and best friend, Nell, where they would enjoy lunch at S&S Cafeteria or Lizards Thicket followed by an afternoon of shopping. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Ambrose J. Culpepper, and her oldest brother, Henry M. Roof. Surviving family members include Ronald (Ronnie) K. Culpepper (son), Laurie E. Culpepper (daughter), Janelle (Nell) Brown (Henry), Eugene Roof (Johann), Betty Woodward (Edgar) and nephews,Mike Roof (Sheila), Mark Woodward, and niece, Celeste Prange(Greg). She will be terribly missed.1,3 |
