Obituary*21 Jun 2016 Nancy Culpepper, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was born on December 3, 1932, in San Antonio, Texas, and arrived in heaven on June 15, 2016. She was the daughter of Isabel Humphreys Kosinski and Joe Kosinski. Nancy attended Thomas Jefferson High School and graduated in 1950. While attending Thomas Jefferson High School, she met her soul mate and life-long love, Richard Culpepper. They were married on June 17, 1950, and Nancy began work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. Nancy stopped working outside the home with the birth of their first child, but was always working on some type of arts and crafts project while raising their three children. Nancy later joined Richard in working at the family business, Culpepper Cleaners, which she and Richard ran for many years. They built a new dry cleaning plant in 1969 and expanded to other locations afterwards. They eventually sold their business to their son and daughter-in-law, Jess B. Culpepper and JoAnne Boone Culpepper, and to their daughter and son-in-law, Terri Culpepper Walker and Mickey Walker, Jr.

Nancy also loved designing, building, and decorating houses. She and Richard built four houses during their marriage, two of which were constructed at their ranch in Quihi, Texas. After retiring from the dry cleaning business, Nancy spent more time painting oil and acrylic landscapes which she gave to children, grandchildren, and friends. Nancy enjoyed shopping for gems and minerals which she collected and also used in making beaded jewelry which she gave to friends and family.

Nancy was active in church activities her entire life and was the chairperson of the committee that designed and built the new parsonage of New Fountain United Methodist Church in Quihi, Texas. Nancy enjoyed donating her time and talents to the Threads of Love, an organization that provides clothing, blankets and other handmade articles for premature and sick infants.

Nancy organized a family trip last month to Cedar Bayou on the Gulf Coast. Four generations with three boat-fulls of Culpeppers made the excursion. Nancy stated that this trip was on her bucket list. It was a beautiful day with pleasant weather and successful fishing.

Nancy and Richard were celebrating their 66th wedding anniversary in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. While strolling on the beach, a wave ended their earthly life but they immediately entered God's kingdom together, so they were never separated from each other during their marriage and will dwell with their Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.2
