In the Oakwoods and
Prairies Region of east Texas, Robertson
County was formed in 1837 from Milam County.
Its county seat,
Franklin,
is on US-79, about 140 miles south of Dallas. Robertson is bordered by the counties of
Limestone, Leon,
Brazos,
Burleson, Milam and Falls.
