He was a member of Albany Masonic Lodge, a veteran of World War II and was a member of the Porterfield United Methodist Church. He is survived by two sisters and a brother; Miss Grace PORTER and Mrs. Herschel JENKINS of Albany and J. C. PORTER of Tifton. Graveside services were held at Camp Ground Cemetery August 1, 1981 with George LAHOOD of Valdosta officiating.3
