Obituary*29 Aug 2012 Mrs. Thelma Ann Culpepper, 57, of Georgetown, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, at the University of Alabama Hospital Palliative Care Unit in Birmingham. Private funeral services were held for the family.
     She was born Feb. 20, 1955 to Charles Bruce Weeks and Eloise Rutherford Weeks. She had lived for the past 10 years in Georgetown and before that in south Georgia and Eufaula.
     She had owned and operated "Granny's Restaurant" and "Granny's Kitchen" in Georgetown for several years. Most recently she had managed the deli at the Piggly Wiggly on South Eufaula Avenue. When Mr. and Mrs. Hayes owned Eufaula Florist she worked with them. Thelma's love for cooking led her to write a weekly food and cooking article called "Granny's Corner" for the Citizen News which was the Cuthbert, Ga. paper.
     Survivors include her husband Larry Charles Culpepper Sr., Georgetown; a daughter, Felicia Tillery, Georgetown; five sons and a daughter in law, Larry and Susan Culpepper Jr., Derrick Dansby, Randall Culpepper and Allen Dansby, all of Eufaula and Wade Dansby, Georgetown; 14 grandchildren and a special aunt, Thelma Jean Clayton, Columbia S.C.
