Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Suzanne Miller of Cragford; one daughter, Mrs. Lorraine Dean Burklow of Marietta, Ga; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Gulley of North Shore, Calif. and Mrs. Lewis Barrett of Fairhope; one brother, Charles W. Miller of Birmingham; and one grandson. Lt. Commander Miller was a native of Clay County. He was retired from the US Navy following 26 years of active duty service. He was a veteran of World War II and a Protestant. Active pallbearers were Ed Burklow, Thurman Raughton [read Roughton], Dr. Jim Barrett, C.B. Parker, Jimmy Fargason, Deryl Raughton [read Roughton], William Bradford Miller, and Worth Amason. I lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial donations be made to one's favorite charity.
